Christel S. Miller has been a Creative Executive at Prime Video, Freevee, NBC, and Showtime. In her capacity as a creative leader & brand manager has supported a slate of ambitious storytellers over the years, including Michael Connelly, Dick Wolf, Mike Schur, Jason Katims, Greg Garcia, Lee Eisenberg, Martin Gero, Johnny Norris, Shea Serrano, among numerous others. Formerly as the Head of Scripted, she lead Freevee’s scripted development and built
an entire new network including award winning JURY DUTY (nominated for Primetime Emmys, Golden Globes, WGA awards, PGA awards, and winner of the Peabody Award, AFI, & Spirit Awards), accomplishing one of the shortest timelines from network launch (2022) to Emmy nomination (2023). She oversaw series through their entire lifecycle from pitch to launch, and was responsible for building original content on Freevee from the ground up. She built a brand focused on half-hour shows, some clearly comedies and some defying classification, all designed as showcases for fresh voices and fresh casts, generally targeting underserved audiences including Jury Duty, Sprung, Primo, Clean Slate, The Pradeeps of Pittsburgh, and High School. In addition, she developed a series of dramas for Prime Video including Cruel Intentions, Motorheads, and On Call, as well as building a Michael Connelly Universe as a follow up to fan favorite Bosch (Bosch: Legacy & Ballard). Miller previously worked at NBC as VP of Current Programming on numerous series including New Amsterdam, Superstore, Parenthood, Good Girls, Blindspot, and Grimm, and at Showtime Networks during the Dexter & Nurse Jackie era.
